Hi! I’m Theodora Robinson!

Owner and Creative Designer of Dora’s Door Designs

I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida but was born and raised in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area. I am an active “Golden Girl” that loves God, my family, friends, doggy-son, and crafting, who also loves to travel!

I have been making wreaths since 2018 as a hobby. Christmas 2017, I was given a unique gift of two bags of ribbon that I had no idea what to do with. However, the gift giver was certain that I would figure it out!

Well as it would turn out, while waiting for the Super Bowl game to start, I found myself just a bit bored. So, I searched the internet for what I could make with ribbon. And just like magic, the solution appeared! My very first wreath was an all-ribbon Valentine’s Day wreath I made for myself.

It was simple and I was so proud of it, of course I showed it off to all my neighbors! To my surprise, they began to request them. So, it began as a hobby and I enjoyed creating them for my family, friends, and neighbors.

I was making them so often and people were willing to pay for them (Surprise! Surprise!), that in 2019, I began thinking about taking it to another level, but I allowed some distractions and I shut down for one year.

As fate would have it, in the middle of the 2020 pandemic I was encouraged to move forward after becoming a part of a wonderful crafting community, I decided to reactivate my Etsy shop and completed my business paperwork in September of that same year,

My first year was slow, but I kept pushing forward. It was a lot to learn; new techniques, figuring out online shopping, preparing to pay taxes, learning the secrets of shipping, appropriate pricing and (lord!) social media!!! Who knew!!! All of this while living in a small two-bedroom apartment with limited storage. But this I know, if God brings you to it, He will get you through it! So, I take one day at a time and I one situation at a time! The rest, I leave it up to Him.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story! And more importantly, thank you for being a part of my journey!
